Biotate® is a bio-based acetate crafted from renewable raw materials and designed entirely in-house: from granules to finished slab.
With a certified bio-based content of 73% and 96% biodegradability (ISO 14855), it offers a viable alternative to fossil-derived plastics while preserving depth, texture and surface character.
Thoughtfully sourced and intentionally developed, Biotate® is our foundation for creating surfaces that support expressive, responsible design.

Biotate Plus® expands our bio-based offering with a focus on transparency and compliance.
It integrates a certified ISCC+ material, into our in-house process, resulting in a 70% bio-based content verified by ASTM D6866.
Like Biotate®, it is free from phthalates and BPA and uses wood pulp from responsibly managed forests.
Biotate Plus® is developed to meet more demanding industry requirements while preserving the same tactile quality, surface character and expressive range expected from our materials.

Where material meets meaning.
Every slab carries its
own rhythm: a balance of
raw material, gesture and care.
Traditional plastics remain in the environment for centuries, altering ecosystems and leaving lasting harm.
Biotate® and Biotate Plus® are certified to biodegrade under controlled conditions, contributing to a more sustainable end-of-life: reducing waste, lowering emissions and moving away from fossil-derived materials.
It combines material performance with a lower environmental impact in both production and disposal.

Certifications
All our bio-based acetates are verified by independent third-party bodies to ensure traceability, biodegradability, and material quality.
Certifications and compliances include:
ASTM D6866 (bio-based content), ISO 14855 (biodegradability), ISCC+ (Biotate Plus), PEFC and FSC (wood pulp sourcing), REACH SVHC compliance (EU Regulation 1907/2006).
